Camping at McKinney Falls state Park

January 29, 2016

Who likes winter camping?

I can’t say that I really do. But I made it a goal to go more this year. I bought myself a good sleeping bag and pad. The world is my oyster!

January in Texas is interesting. Right now I am out by the pool in 70 degree weather writing this blog post. 2 days ago, it was in the 30s. We braved the cold anyway. Who doesn’t love a campfire with hot coco.

A few friends came but didn’t stays he night. The rest of us bundled up under the stars. That morning we went hiking and came across some beautiful sites.

Beautiful right?

There was a yoga hike as well as Native American games hosted by the McKinney state park.

I love Texas because there is always something going on for the community and there is endless beautiful places to explore.

If you live in Austin it’s right by the airport. This is a family friendly environment that has nice facilities.

Here’s to camping in January!
